I am very pleased to welcome you on behalf
of the Running For Hope Inc . While I
was a soldier in Lebanon in 1985, in a mission to defuse missiles aimed
to our position, I stepped on a land mine and lost my leg. But through
this traumatic event, God spiritually did a work in my life that far
outweighed any physical tragedy. For in crying out to God to save me,
he not only preserved my life on this earth, but he changed my heart
for eternity. My longing is to tell as many people as possible about
the saving grace of God in my life and to help others overcome
disabilities of all kinds -- mental, physical, social, financial,
relational and spiritual.
Recently I
decided one way to share the hope in my life was to begin running
again. The idea of ever running again after losing my leg seemed
impossible. Now I am ready to find out that my dream to run is not only
for eternal life in the future, but also for this present time on
earth. My plan is to run a half marathon in 2008.
Running for Hope
always wishes you the best.
